DB is a seasoned problem-solver and project leader with a unique ability to bring order, insight, and calm to complex projects. With over three decades of experience across entertainment, residential construction, & real estate sales, he’s known for his casual likability, strategic mind, and calm under pressure. 

After earning his degree with an emphasis in Environmental Studies from The Evergreen State College, DB spent seven formative years working as a carpenter, building custom homes and executing high-end remodels across the Pacific Northwest. These years instilled in him not only technical expertise, but also a deep respect for craft, timelines, and the art of translating vision into physical form. 

Following a move to Los Angeles, his entertainment industry career blossomed while managing TV commercials, music videos, and feature films. There, DB learned how to juggle shifting timelines, creative personalities, and tight budgets. He managed crews, coordinated logistics, and oversaw operations under pressure — skills that directly translated into his future as a project manager and real estate consultant. The entertainment world taught DB how to lead without ego, adapt quickly, and collaborate across disciplines ... traits that still define his approach today.

DB transitioned into real estate, becoming one of the first agents to join eXp Realty (agent #67, well before the company grew to over 80,000 agents). Over the years, he has developed a reputation for guiding clients through high-stakes residential and multi-family transactions throughout Los Angeles. He is fluent in contracts, construction, title, compliance, and is particularly skilled in probate, trust, and estate-related transactions. He brings deep empathy to his work navigating sensitive and complex property decisions.

These work/life experiences culminated most prominently when DB took on the role of owner-builder, general contractor, designer, and financier for a custom 3,500-square-foot home in Santa Monica. Managing more than 150 tradespeople, coordinating with architects and city officials, controlling the budget and build schedule helped reignite his love for residential construction. The experience solidified his ability to bridge the worlds of design, development, and client advocacy. He speaks the language of homeowners and builders alike and ensures both visions align throughout the process.

DB is the kind of professional who makes complicated things feel manageable, who listens deeply, and who’s just as comfortable walking a property with a tradesperson as he is sitting down for a heart-to-heart with a homeowner. He thrives in the details, understands the bigger picture, and ensures that every decision is rooted in purpose and precision. He’s also a proud father, husband, dog owner, and Santa Monica resident.
